General Accountability
Distributes mail by truck and/or foot to all TTC work locations within the City of Toronto according to a rigid time schedule; provides cartage services for material produced in-house by Printing Services; and assists the Courier Office by performing miscellaneous clerical duties. The role also transports lost articles from the Divisional offices to the TTC's Lost Articles Office.
Key Job Functions
• Collect and distribute mail, and process outgoing mail.
• Provide cartage delivery services for TTC’s printing Services.
• Assist the Courier Office.
• Operate and maintain a TTC vehicle, adhering to established safety standards and practices.
• Provide back up support for other mail clerks and perform other related duties for the department/section.
• Liaise with immediate associates and staff at various levels in other departments concerning routine matters.
• Demonstrates behaviours that support diversity, inclusion, and a respectful work and service environment that is free from discrimination and harassment. Helps to remove barriers and accommodate employees and customers (within their area of responsibility) in accordance with TTC’s commitments and obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and Related Orders, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and TTC’s policies.
• Candidate will be required to participate in the TTC Customer Service Ambassador Program.

Education and Experience
Completion of secondary school education or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
Additional Requirements • Must possess a valid Province of Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License and pass the Training Department’s instruction for the operation of a Commission vehicle. • Knowledge of Commission properties and of the City of Toronto would be a definite asset. • Close concentration and attention required when driving in heavy traffic and inclement weather. • Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees.
